Vincenti c.1880 Stock No. 3346
Vincenti c.1880
A French marble calendar clock with a two piece porcelain enamel dial indistinctly signed (possibly Leroy Freres, Paris), and exposed Brocot escapement, with two subsidiary dials for the date and day of the week. The striking movement stamped Vincenti to the backplate is housed in a Belge noire marble case with veined green side pilasters. Total height: 15"
Price: £1,100
Stock No. 3346
There were a number of large clock factories making movements such as this one - normally without the calendar work - and Vincenti was one of them alongside Japy, Marti and a few others. This is unusual and quite rare in that it has the additional calendar work.
