A finely proportioned Regency bracket clock, the 8” diameter convex painted iron dial, and the movement backplate, both signed ‘Parkinson & Frodsham, Change Alley London’, the double fusee movement striking the hours on a bell, with pull repeat. The very elegant round top mahogany case has fish scale sound frets, sea shell ring handles, and ebony raised beading inlay, and sits on brass ball feet.

Parkinson & Frodsham, distinguished makers, are recorded working at this address 1828 - 1842. The firm continued until 1947.
