The dial has its original background, and original 'fleur de lys' steel hands. There is a 'chime / not chime' lever at 12.00 o'clock revealed as the bezel opens, a massive pendulum, and three opening doors, two with fish scale frets.
The celebrated partnership of Aubert & Klaftenberger, who were responsible for many fine clocks throughout the nineteenth century, are recorded working at 157 Regent Street from 1835.
