A Georgian tavern clock with 14" diameter wood dial, the movement with tapered plates, in a mahogany case with chisel foot and moulded brass bezel with integral lock.

The fine flame mahogany veneer to the case continues from the door to the upper part of the case. The movement has 'WL 4921 DM' embossed to the front plate, and the weight is of cast iron, shaped to fit the foot of the case.
Thomas Field left London for Bath in 1766 where he succeeded Henry Stimpson. He worked there until his death in 1812.
