A good Kentish tavern clock of small size, the 8-day timepiece movement in a gilt chinoiserie case. This was almost certainly made for the coaching Inn ‘Ye Ancient Bell’ in Week Street, Maidstone, some few hundred yards from  Thomas Sutton’s workshop. Height: 44”
