A rare small fusee wall clock with alarm, with a 9” diameter convex dial, brass matching hands, and engraved brass alarm setting disc, in an octagonal mahogany drum case with delicate ‘seaweed’ brass inlay.

Charles Taylor is recorded working at 9, High Street, Bristol, in 1805, and subsequently at 30 College Green in 1848.He was joined by his son in 1835 when the firm was styled C. Taylor & Son. He died in 1861 aged 80.
