James Hargraves Bawtry c.1825
An impressive trunk dial wall timepiece, the 12” diameter convex wooden dial signed ‘James Hargraves Bawtry’. The fusee movement with original anchor escapement has heavily ‘knopped’ pillars, and is fronted by brass matching hands, and is in a mahogany case with inlay to the trunk, and a moulded bezel, with integral lock, that still retains some of its original gilding.
