J.H.Allis  Albion Chambers Bristol c.1860

This is probably the smallest ‘Library Timepiece’ that I have ever seen.

John Hagger Allis, born in 1817 in Tewkwsbury, was a distinguished Bristol maker, and is recorded working at this address from 1851 - 1876. He also made barometers, and he made a clock exhibited in the 1851 Great Exhibition.
