Frodsham Gracechurch Street London c.1850 

A small ebonised four glass library timepiece, with chain fusee movement, signed on both the dial and backplate. 

An exquisite small library 4 glass library timepiece, the silvered engraved brass dial signed Frodsham, Gracechurch Street, London, with the backplate to the chain fusee movement similarly embossed. The ebonised case with flattened pyramid top has glazed side panels and glazed front and rear doors. Complete with steel rod pendulum and original winding key.

John Frodsham was a third generation clockmaking Frodsham, who moved to Gracechurch Street c. 1825, the firm changing the name to Frodsham and Baker in 1854.
