A very elegant drop dial wall timepiece, with a 12” diameter silvered engraved brass dial with arabic and roman minute and hour numerals, the ‘A’ shaped fusee movement with anchor escapement fronted by matching heart shaped steel hands, in a one-piece mahogany case with two side doors and a full-width moulded base door. The short trunk has mahogany veneer that extends across the simple flat ‘ears’, and carries the concave moulded brass bezel.

John Jagoe is recorded working only for two years from 1809 - 1811, but other clocks are known by him, including a drop dial wall clock that was exhibited No. 14 in the Strike One exhibition of dial clocks, June - July 1978.
