An attractive early Victorian wall timepiece of small size, the 9” convex dial elegantly signed ‘Bray, 165 Tottenham Court Road London’, the fusee movement faced by steel ‘pierced moon’ hands, in a mahogany case with turned dial surround, and cast brass bezel.

Whitehurst Derby c.1840
A rare and very original quarter striking hook and spike wall clock by this prestigious maker, the the 10” octagonal dial with the signature and perimeter ring marked in gold, fronting an unnumbered eight day three train movement striking the hours on one bell, and the quarters on two further bells. The short pendulum has ‘IWD’ cast into the bob, and the weights similarly marked ‘IW’.

A fine Georgian wall timepiece with an engraved brass dial (12” diameter) with a fine five pillar movement (one pillar latched) and restored verge escapement. The saltbox case has early restoration to the apron, a turned mahogany bezel with lock and particularly fine pierced steel hands.

The fusee movement with original anchor escapement has heavily ‘knopped’ pillars, and is fronted by brass matching hands, and is in a mahogany case with inlay to the trunk, and a moulded bezel, with integral lock, that still retains some of its original gilding.
